+ + + News + + + Due to construction work, the Newmanhaus Kita has been located at Eduard-Pflüger-Straße 56 since 1 April.
The Kita Newmanhaus of the University of Bonn, run by the Studierendenwerk Bonn is temporarily located on the ground floor of Eduard-Pflüger-Straße 56 (Augustinushaus dormitory) near Bundeskanzlerplatz, not far from the UN campus, due to construction work.
For whom?
Places for children under the age of three are assigned by a committee of the University of Bonn primarily to young female scientists. Places for children from the age of 3 are assigned to university employees, students and citizens of Bonn, if capacity is available. The prerequisite for all places is a residence in Bonn.

Size of the facility
We take care of a total of 31 children in two groups:
- One "u3" group from four months to three years with eleven children,
- an "ü3" group with 20 children from the age of three until school enrolment.
We offer 45 hours of supervision per week.

Closing times
The Kita is closed for three weeks during the school and semester holidays in the summer and between Christmas and New Year. On four days a year, we analyse and discuss our pedagogical/educational work and/or have a team training together. Thus, the institution remains closed on these days. Further closing days can occur due to conception days or workshop of all day-care centres of the Studierendenwerk Bonn or due to operational reasons. In this case parents will be informed as soon as possible.

Parental contributions are collected for the care of children in a city sponsored day care center in Bonn. The basis for this is the parent contribution rate valid in the city of Bonn. You can find out more at the youth welfare office of the city of Bonn.

We admit children of young scientists and employees of the University of Bonn as well as of students and citizens of Bonn.
