The Ferdinandstraße dormitory is located in the preferred residential area of the Ippendorf district. A cycle path leads directly to the neighbouring district of Venusberg. Four bus lines connect the city centre and the main university building in a travel time of 14 minutes. The natural science institutes are only seven minutes away by bus.

The two-storey student residence features 33 single rooms in six residential groups with modern communal facilities. It was built in 1993.

The rooms are furnished and equipped with connections for cable TV and internet.

There are sufficient parking spaces for cars and bicycles.
