The KUARIO app makes payment easier by automatically recognising your status (student/staff member) and enabling payment in one step. Download the app. Select the University of Bonn as your institution. Top up your wallet. Pay easily.

Download the app and register

1. Download the KUARIO app from  Google or Apple.
2. Select the fourth option from the top: ‘Sign in with your institution’. The so-called Shibboleth interface provides secure access to services via single sign-on (SSO) using your existing university account.
3. Select ‘Universität Bonn’. The university's login screen will be displayed.

4. Register, specify account and top up your wallet.

    

How to pay with KUARIO

1. Select KUARIO as your payment method.
2. Hold the KUARIO QR code up to the scanner at the cash register.
3. Your status as a ‘student’ or ‘employee’ is automatically identified.
4. The price is determined according to your status (student/employee/guest). The amount is debited from your KUARIO account.

5. The balance in the app is adjusted immediately after refreshing the screen by swiping down.

    

Paying without KUARIO

Payment at the cash desk remains unchanged: students show or present their student ID card, employees their personal Mensa Card.

The use of KUARIO applies to locations in Bonn and to students and staff of the University of Bonn.
